The band Horzon was formed and launched in September 1977. Together with
Steve Sealy and Anslem Douglas, the members share a wide range of musical experience that
contributed to the rapid success of the band. With a strong and experienced management
team behind them, they were booked by top promoters and have played all the major carnival
shows in the Caribbean. A recording deal with the Caribbeans major label, J.W.
Records, produced two hits to date. A reworking of the classic "Tan Tan" and
"Who Let the Dogs Out" with Anslem Douglas on lead vocals. Horyzon is now
embarking on a tour of all the major summer festivals around the world
Brooklyns Labour Day, Londons Notting Hill Carnival, Canadas Caribana
and engagements in other major cities in the USA, Canada and Europe. These festivals are
described by the band as festivals of love and happiness where people come together, enjoy
and have a good time with the music of the Caribbean Calypso, Soca and Reggae. Soca
Beyond the Horyzon Music of the Caribbean is their debut album and features a
medley of current Soca hits played live. It also features three reggae tracks (two
originals) a reggae version of "My Heart Will Go On (Love theme from Titanic)" a
dedication to the steelband "Madam Pan" and Anslems classic "Bois
(Stick Fight)".
