Trinidad All Stars Steel Orchestra garnered their tenth Panorama title in the wee hours of the morning of Sunday February 26, beating defending champs Desperadoes Steel Orchestra into second place by three points, with a score of 286. Playing Full Extreme by the Ultimate Rejects, the orchestra snatched the title away from Desperadoes which had played in first position, leading the competition - until Trinidad All Stars delivered their winning presentation.
Eleven steel orchestras vied for the top spot in the large band category at the Queen’s Park Savannah aka ‘The Big Yard’ in Port-of-Spain. Final band Exodus which competed in last position played its final notes just after 3:00 a.m., closing off the entire competition which began around 7:15 local time the previous evening with the medium steel orchestra finalists.
